Yay!! I've finished my fresco.... well fresco is perhaps too big a word for what I've done : I was bored, I saw a white wall so I painted on it...  And what does it depict? Because I'm hugely original, and because I'm not at all obsessed, I painted Jon and Stephen!

I finished it but the more I look at my wall, the more I'm beginning to think that I shouldn't have done it on the darkest hours of the night, when I was a bit sleep deprived... the proportions are a bit off, and Jon doesn't really look like him but well, too late....

So here it is!

PS : Oh, and if someone could explain to me how I can hide the images behind cuts I would be greatly thankful because I've tried <lj-cut> etc... but nothing works and I don't know where to find the answer =$

I just want to ramble about the power of theater today...(what a program, I know!)

I'm more and more amazed by the abilities of this art. It can put us through a roller coaster of emotions so easily! This place so full of constraints can inspire so beautiful pieces of art... That never fails to amaze me!

I went to see a play yesterday : Gertrude (le cri) which is a rewriting of Hamlet by Howard Barker a writer "à la mode" in today's french theater world (I'm not enough of an expert to know that but my drama teacher is, so I'm going to trust her on that point). It was simply amazing.
The actors were perfect in their parts, the setting was incredible. I would be unable to describe it but it was surely the most ingenious setting I've ever seen (well ok, I'm only 18 but anyway it was great!), always in movement, the more it changed, the  more it became beautiful! At one point, and this just made my heart stopped for a second, a huge wall (the stage of the theater, l'Odéon, is really high) made of a cloth fall down on the stage, a little opening on this wall kept Hamlet, who was dead on the floor, safe : his body passed through it. All of this was made in the most deafening silence I've ever experienced, because the wall was made of fabric and because the ground was covered by little pieces of rubber. And the wind created by the fall was breathtaking!
The stage director managed to put us, the audience, in a state of tension from the beginning to the end, and it was outstanding! Everything  from the way the actors played, to the setting contributed to make us ill-at-ease (what can be more disturbing for an audience than to put a mirror in front us, well he did it and that was so confusing! I was in the front row, I could see me and the reflect of the rest of the public in front of us, at the bottom of the stage!)
It was simply spot on, a real piece of art. They managed to bring out the tragic and the darkness of the characters and they did it beautifully!

I'm going to stop now because it's too late for me to form enough coherent thoughts to express what I really feel about that subject but I will be back with more rambling later!

I can't leave though without mentioning the last shows that I saw of the boys, the ones of the investiture. They were priceless!!!
Jon is really goofy since the beginning of the week it seems and it's so refreshing to see him like that : simply happy!=D But what I find even more enjoyable is that even in a goofy mood, he still manages to point out the resemblances of Obama speech with Bush's, he lets himself enjoy this moment but still keeps his eyes open! (He can't help himself =D) and I loved the interview (Am I going too far if I say that when his voice cracked when he asked the question about seeing one day a gay/lesbian president the only thing I thought was : he is getting emotional because he is personally touched by this subject because he is in a gay relationship with Stephen Colbert and he doesn't live well this "living in the closet" situation...OK. I'm reading too much. I know. I'm obsessed. Possibly crazy.)
And then "Stephen"!! Oh my god "Stephen"! The first half of the show was amazingly funny and disturbing at the same time : our boy is so confused! (and so huggable, I can't help it, I love it when he cries!) (And he definitely should wear make up more often!)
I have to say I was quite moved by these two shows, it is after all the end of an area... I can't wait to see what they are going to do now that they don't have the Bush administration anymore to provide material. I'm not worried though, judging by the energy they have these days, it's going to be interesting!

I MADE IT!!!!!

*coffcoff*

My f"#°%ing Lord I made it! I finished my exams and guess what....I'm not dead!
Believe me this was a close call. I'd never been so late in my work before! I spent a couple of nights awake to finish some papers, I didn't sleep more than three or four hours each night during more than a week but I'm alive! And even more so because I didn't miserably fail like I thought I would! =D...well I hope so...
Theater history was a bitch because the exam was harder than I thought it would be, but audience workshop and dramatic art was a lot more easier so basically, I think it went pretty well...
Gosh I was so sleep deprived that I slept during a play I went to see Saturday night!! (and it was a good one! from what I managed to see anyway)

Now that I'm on a break I finally have time to go crazy and do what I was dying to do while I was working : mostly, sleep a all day to avoid collapsing then go out, get drunk, see some real people, watch Jon and Stephen, read all the good fics that I missed, finish some books I was trying to read, go see some movies, some plays, draw.....well. that is a busy program. I'll probably don't achieve all of this, but I'm definitly going to sleep and get drunk! I deserve at least that! (and watch TCR and TDS because I miss my boys!)

I'm going to stop my rambling here and get to the point (I know I could have get there sooner but whatever, I'm free now, I can do what I want MWAHAHAHAHAHA!) (sorry about that let's just move on...) In order to celebrate this joyful time I draw a little something (I can't get my scanner to work for the moment but I will post it as soon has he cooperates), and I'm throwing a proposition out there : if anyone read this and want to see our boys in a special scene or want to see a scene of their fic illustrated (but lets not get crazy I'm not that good of an artist) then just tell me what you want and I'll do my best.
I just want to warn you again : there are much more talented people than me out there, I just want to have fun, so don't expect something extraordinary... Oh, and I draw quite slowly so you could have to wait a little before I finish it. But if you are still interested just ask, the outcome can be fun^^

On that cheerful note I bid you farewell you, who have been bored or crazy enough to read my terribly written rambling!

Hello jolly good fellows!

I've decided to control the damage for the moment so I'll just post drawings. (not that I'm saying that I can draw!)

This is my first post ever...

English is not my native language and when I speak/write it I make so many mistakes that it's really shameful so I will start with some french : it's my review of a play that I saw in Paris in November, an adaptation of Molière's Don Juan that I realy liked... I know it doesn't interests anybody (and that the post is not even in english...!) but it's just in order to start you know, see how LJ works... and who knows mayby one of you knows about the director or the play and would like to exchange about it :-)

Anyway, Here we go :
